Shit, here we go again!

In case you slept in today and missed it, London was attacked with a series of explosions that has left at least 40 dead and more than 350 wounded this morning. The attacks took place during the busy Thursday morning rush hour and left carnage and mayhem in their wake.

"It was chaos," said Gary Lewis, 32, who was evacuated from a subway train at King's Cross station. "The one haunting image was someone whose face was totally black and pouring with blood."

"I was on the bus in front and heard an incredible bang, I turned round and half the double decker bus was in the air," Belinda Seabrook told Press Association, the British news agency.
She said the bus was packed with people.
"It was a massive explosion and there were papers and half a bus flying through the air," she said.

It is not clear at this time whether suicide bombers triggered the explosions.

Tony Blair, Prime minister for the UK, called the attacks "barbaric" and said the attacks were obviously meant to coincide with the G8 summit. Our own Dubya even chimed in, calling the attackers "cowards" and saying that "we must never waver in the face of these attacks. We will bring them to justice." So, I guess Iran is next.

A group calling itself "The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe" posted a claim of responsibility for the blasts, saying they were in retaliation for Britain's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. Just like I said, Iran. Or Syria.

On a lighter note, this is the first time I'm blogged in quite a while, and am I rusty! I promise to make more entries, though. Terrorist attacks tend to put the brand to my butt.
