Why on Earth is Henry Kissinger in charge of investigating government mishandling of intelligence prior to and after 9/11? Isn't this the same man who oversaw the "secret bombings" in Cambodia during the Vietnam War, itself a terrorist attack on civilians? Isn't he still being sought out to answer questions regarding the numerous "disappearances" in Chile following the installation of Augusto Pinochet's military dictatorship? I seem to remember there being several lawsuits against him over exactly this. It is a major affront to the American people that such a man would be asked to lead this investigation, which is supposed to give the public answers about our government's incompetence in regards to the attacks. It was bad enough to see Admiral John Poindexter(Ret.) offered a job in the Bush administration, being a major player in the Iran-Contra scandal. Elliott Abrams, who pled guilty to lying to Congress in the same scandal, was welcomed warmly to the new administration, and given a staff position in the National Security Council.

Now is the time to get the hell out of this country. I love this place, but we elected the wrong man for the office, and now we are paying the price. The Bush administration even wants to take away the Miranda rights. Soon you will no longer have the right to remain silent. The police will be able to "coerce" a confession out of you, but it cannot be used in court. Yeah, right.

Another uneventful weekend. Ho hum. I got a chance to see Nag and The Feathers at Works Gallery on Friday night. We went straight to Plant 51 from there. Long Gone Bon played, and it turned out being a pretty good show. My friends Ron and Tyson got so drunk they started wrestling in the middle of the show. It turned out being a pretty effective way of getting ejected from the club. Ron was so loaded he called a cab to take him home, even though he lives 2 blocks from the club. It has always been my belief that if you just get up and move around, you sober up a little, and the chance of puking goes way down. Ron obviously belongs to the other school of thought, which says, "If it feels good, do it!" Poor shmuck.

Some asshat sent me an email today that was constructed mostly of exclamation points and the cryptic message "Lookout!!! The janitor is right behind you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". I had absolutely no idea what this guy was going on about until I remembered my website. That means someone else went to my site!!!!!!!! Rock on!!!!!!!!!! That must bring up the tally of viewers to about one every six months or so. Well, Rob, I'm glad you liked it. The janitor thanks you too.

By the way, I'm still looking for a DiVX copy of Jackass, if you got it. While in my pursuit of this cinematic masterpiece, I've been rewarded with the second reel of Signs(listed as Jackass Reel 1) and some anime movie that I couldn't understand properly even if I had subtitles, which this did not. I know it's illegal and all that, but is there no honesty among thieves? All I want is one movie, can't I have just that? And if you're going to rename a file and put it out on the web, at least make it porn or something. Christ, Signs? The anime was pretty cool, though.

I saw The Ring recently and realized that sometimes you can't(or won't) add to perfection. If you've ever seen the original movie, Ringu, you know what I mean. This movie was almost a carbon-copy of the original, except with round-eye actors. Neither one is the scariest movie I've ever seen, but I guess they are still pretty creepy compared to movies such as Ghost Ship or, even more horrific, Ghost Dad.

I went out last night to see a Guns n Roses cover band at Plant 51. Somehow I got so drunk that I came home and did all my dishes and had no recollection of it. Imagine my surprise when I woke up and had clean dishes! The wonder of it all! Tonight I'm going to a CD release party and hopefully tomorrow I'll wake up to a clean bathroom, or my car washed.
